Description: Love Island is a 1952 American romantic comedy film directed by Bud Pollard, starring Paul Valentine and Eva Gabor. The film follows US Navy pilot Lt. Richard Taber (Paul Valentine) who crash-lands on a South Pacific island called Love Island. There, he befriends and falls in love with a local Balinese beauty named Sarna (Eva Gabor).<br/>The film uses extensive footage taken in Bali from the 1935 film Legong: Dance of the Virgins. It was the final directorial effort of Bud Pollard, who had previously directed several race films and exploitation films.<br/>The film features a few beach scenes shot in California, some cheesy studio sets, and inserts taken from Legong.
